Denzel Ward grabs five interceptions this season
Ward signed a new deal with the Browns this offseason and will be ready to produce this next season. He is considered by many to be one of the best cornerbacks in the league. Recently he was ranked as No. two on a ranking by NFL analyst Bucky Brooks of the NFL Network going into the season. Ward has the opportunity to solidify that projection and I expect to see that this next year. He is part of a strong secondary that includes teammates Greedy Williams, Greg Newsome II and John Johnson III.
Ward has never had more than three interceptions in any of his first four years. Last season he had a beautiful 99-yard pick six run back off a pass from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. That will be a highlight of his career but he has the chance to add to the reel of highlights as he enters the season with a new contract and more confidence.
