One of John Dorsey’s first moves when he was hired by Kansas City as the general manager back in 2013 was to acquire Alex Smith from the San Francisco 49ers. Dorsey had faith in the then 29-year-old to turn around a 2-14 Chiefs team and Alex Smith delivered by making the playoffs three out of four years not including this year if they make it. Smith is now 33 and expecting this to be his final run in Kansas City after drafting Patrick Mahomes.
