Five Keys to Beating Baltimore

Key #3: Contain the Run Game

The Ravens sit first in the NFL in rushing yards, averaging 169 yards per game on the ground. The Browns are just behind, sitting second while averaging 157.8 yards per game. Last week, the Ravens joined the Browns as the only team to have three players rush for 70 or more yards in a game. Incidentally, both teams accomplished this against the Cowboys. While the run game has been solid for the Ravens, the passing game has faltered. They have exceeded 200 yards passing the same amount of times that they have had less than 100 yards in the last nine games (twice each). If the Browns can force Jackson to throw the football, they will win on Sunday.
