FIVE Bold Cavs Predictions This Season

#5. The Cavs will squeeze into the playoffs and win at least one game

In a weak Eastern Conference and with a team that will now be adjusted to life without LeBron, the Cavs are playoff contenders. No, the Cavs won’t be competing for a title this season, but why couldn’t they be disruptive for a team in the first round? The Cavs still have Love, have retained several key veterans like Kyle Korver, J.R. Smith and Tristan Thompson, and have a promising bench full of players who be starters on other teams. Realistically, I don’t think this team can win more than 45 games, but I would put 35-40 wins as a reasonable benchmark for the Cavs. This should be just enough to get them into the playoffs, where they will face #1 seeded Boston and steal Game 3 at home before likely losing in five games. In the end, the season will be a success as they can say they won a playoff game without LeBron.
