FIVE Bold Cavs Predictions This Season

#3. TT will average a double-double this season

Tristan Thompson has seen a diminished role on the Cavs since he re-signed, mostly due to his minimal involvement on offense and frequent defensive struggles. In addition, last year’s squad experimented with Kevin Love at center, sliding Thompson over to the bench. This season, Thompson and Larry Nance Jr. are expected to share time starting at center, but I expect Thompson to take the starting job at the start of the season. Without LeBron, Thompson’s role on the floor should be much improved, especially on offense where he will become more involved with the team’s ball movement. I believe both Thompson and Love are great candidates to average 10 or more rebounds per game and if Thompson can keep his starting job then he may push his scoring into double digits as well.
