Roquan Smith is an outside linebacker who played for the Georgia Bulldogs. He ran a 4.52 40-yard dash at the Combine but is not recorded for anything else.

Last year, he had an unreal 134 tackles, 14 for a loss and 6.5 sacks. Smith is able to rush the line and make the tackle, but he also has the wherewithal to cover the pass as well. He’ll be up against some of the best tight ends the NFL has to offer.

The Bulldog coaching staff praises him as a tremendous leader, which makes him that much easier to select on draft night. He’ll certainly go in the first round. He plays with discipline and focus, both important characteristics for any great professional player.

One knock on him is that he is undersized, but he has proven that to not be an issue in college. However, the pro game is a different story and we will have to wait and see if he gets beaten up by bigger offensive linemen.

I expect Smith to have a great career in the NFL, but he will not be selected by the Cleveland Browns. There are just too many other holes to fill, especially in the first round.
