Evan Mobley’s Rise and All-Star Weekend Competition

Are you ready for All-Star Weekend? All the competitions will be happening this weekend. The 2023 Jordan Rising Star will take place tonight at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City as part of the NBA’s All-Star Weekend. It’s the 28th year of the Jordan Rising Star, which all began in 1994. Evan Mobley will be part of Team Joakim. The team looks good with young players, but they have some tough competition with Team Pau. Mobley is only getting better as a player. He’s currently averaging 15 points per game and nine rebounds per game.

The 21-year-old is in his second season in the league and is the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. There have been some comparisons to Anthony Davis, but he should be the first Evan Mobley and not the second Anthony Davis. Guys like Kendrick Perkins are waiting for Evan Mobley to explode offensively, but we need to be more patient. We have to remember that you have other guys like Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland who are getting more touches. Mobley will be fine. We know how special he is on defense. His offense will get better, and sooner than later, he will be a terrific two-way player. The man is in his second league, not his fifth or tenth year. He’s 21, not 31.

In his young NBA career, he brings a lot to the table. Mobley is an incredible defender. He’s eighth in the NBA in blocks per game. Mobley is also a magician in steals and deflections when on the floor. That’s the value of Evan Mobley. He can also protect the rim just like his teammate Jarrett Allen and his agility and length can disrupt the opposing team’s offense.

The best is yet to come for this young man. Durability, Development and Consistency will be vital for Evan Mobley. The media, especially former NBA players in the media, need to cut him slack for now. He’s still getting into the groove and figuring things out. As for tonight’s event, we wish him the best and hopefully, Team Joakim can walk away with the trophy.
