Donte Whitner Heading Back To The Pro Bowl

Despite yet another year of missing the playoffs, one Browns player did hear some good news right after the NFC Championship game. Safety Donte Whitner was added to the Pro Bowl roster to replace Seattle’s Earl Thomas who’s heading to the Super Bowl. While Whitner wishes that was the case for him and the Browns, he’s happy to be heading back to his third consecutive Pro Bowl.

The former Buckeye made 106 tackles, and also had an interception on the season. Alongside his buddies CB Joe Haden and FS Tashaun Gipson, the Browns secondary was actually pretty good, ranked 8th in passing yards allowed at 224.5.

Being from the area and graduating from Glenville High School, it’s nice to see such a strong hometown presence on our sports team with the likes of him and of course LeBron James. Donte Whiter is a great football player, and also a great man within the local community.

Best of luck of there!
