Browns quarterback DeShaun Watson needs help. Every QB does…

Watson certainly needed some assistance at the wide receiver position and he finally has it.

Via NBC Sports: Cleveland will send the No. 42 overall pick in the second round to New York in exchange for Elijah Moore and the 74th overall pick in the third round.

Moore was drafted out of Mississippi in the second round of the 2021 draft by the Jets.

Last year with the Jets, Moore had 37 catches for 446 yards and a single touchdown. Now, those aren’t mind-blowing numbers by any means. However, it’s not like the Browns gave up the world for the acquisition.

Moore will only be entering his third season and is 5’8 178 pounds. He’s 22 years of age.

The Browns already have Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones, plus Anthony Schwartz at wide receiver. This addition will be crucial to the depth moving forward this season.

Moore has two years left with the Browns. Both of these are less than two million to the cap hit. After that, in the year 2025, he will then be an unrestricted free agent.

This sort of eliminates the Odell Beckham Jr. reuniting in Cleveland possibility. Like, it could happen but it would really have to be a great deal for the team to sign the wideout again.

The Browns started this offseason very slowly, but have really picked up the pace in addressing the needs of the team. It makes this upcoming season a pretty exciting one. There are never any guarantees when it comes to Browns Football, but hey. Who knows?

Welcome to Cleveland, Elijah. Can’t wait to see how great you are catching passes from DeShaun Watson this year and beyond.

Stay tuned to Cleveland Sports Talk for all the latest Browns news moving forward as the team builds the roster this offseason. There have been some huge roster moves including the signing of DT Dalvin Tomlinson and others now wearing that orange and brown.
