This was a crazy story about a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs that was from the Ohio area. Of course, this is the Taylor Swift boyfriend himself in Travis Kelce. Here’s what happened:
“On Wednesday’s episode of Travis and his brother Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, MGK called in and personally offered the Kansas City Chiefs tight end $500,000 in cash to leave his current team and play football for the Cleveland Browns.”
Yo, let’s be honest here. Our boy Travis in 2020 signed a 4-year, $57.25 million contract extension with the Chiefs, with an average annual salary of $14 million. Kelce has partnered with brands including Nike, Bud Light, State Farm, Experian, Pfizer, and DirecTV, among others.
This is a lot of money in it of itself and one adds on the amount of money his girl is making and the Kelce’s are not struggling to make ends meet regardless of bribes or not…
Kelce, age 34, is from the Cleveland area in Cleveland Heights high school. He loved the Browns growing up and wanted to be on the team as a young man even begging to the then-coach of the Browns.
“This is what I cried in Coach Chudzinski’s (2013 CLE HC) face, ‘Please let me play for Cleveland.’ It was one of my dreams to play for the Browns.”
The man is obviously talented:
2× Super Bowl champion (LIV, LVII)
4× First-team All-Pro (2016, 2018, 2020, 2022)
3× Second-team All-Pro (2017, 2019, 2021)
8× Pro Bowl (2015–2022)
NFL 2010s All-Decade Team
Now, in 2026 Kelce becomes an unrestricted free agent and would be able to sign with another team. He’d be close to 40 years old by this time and it would be quite an age to still be playing professional football.
MGK, thanks for the offer. I don’t think this is going to happen and if it were to happen the product on the field would not be so great. The man has already talked about retirement himself.
Kelce has already played in 154 games, 884 receptions total, 11,076 yards and 74 touchdowns. That’s just in the regular season itself.
If the Browns could get Kelce in his current state it would be a huge help to a team deserpate for receiever/tight end help. Current TE David Njoku has talent but also drops a lot of passes too. That’s the best the team has in regards to that position. The team has to make some moves eventually to improve that part of the team. Let’s see what can be done in the future, bribes aside.
