Johnny Manziel, Drafted Round 1 Pick 24 In The 2014 NFL Draft

Johnny Manziel will go down in history as quite possibly Cleveland’s worst draft pick ever. He said he wanted to “Wreck the league” when all he did was wreck himself and took the Browns down with him. The Browns had hired coach Mike Pettine and had a quarterback with potential in hometown guy Brian Hoyer. Enter Manziel, The Browns went 7-9 in 2014 and at one point were #1 in the AFC North before a five-game losing streak killed the season. Throughout the season the QB controversy raged as fans debated Hoyer Vs. Manziel causing chaos whenever Hoyer (who was the starter) played poorly. Manziel started week 15 and ended the game with 80 yards through the air, and two interceptions in a 30-0 loss to the Bengals and things never quite turned around. Manziel’s off the field antics got him into trouble more times than I can count, and he never lived up to the savior hype that surrounded him. Eventually, the Browns had enough and released him on March 11th 2016. Luckily for Cleveland, another quarterback came to clean up Manziel’s wreckage, and this one is much more DAN6EROUS.
