After getting bounced out of the playoff by the Boston Celtics, the Cavaliers are looking to bolster or reload their roster this offseason. The Cavs need to make a big splash. They need to make a trade that can get this team over the hump. Who should the Cavs get?

Mikal Bridges is one of the best options for Cleveland. You have a guy that can play both ends of the floor and brings you toughness. He’s a Villanova Wildcat. Players that come from Villanova are not soft. You add a wing player like Bridges who’s also an elite defender and you can send Darius Garland and a first-round draft pick to the Brooklyn Nets. In the business of sports, you have to make tough decisions and take risks.

Can you imagine how the Cavs frontcourt will look if they pull this off? The Cavs’ frontcourt will look deadly, especially on defense with Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley and Mikal Bridges. Bridges averaged nearly 20 points with the Brooklyn Nets.

Why would the Nets keep him around? The Nets don’t have a sense of direction. Bridges is 27 years old. He’s in the beginning of his prime and he should play for a team that will compete. Bringing him to Cleveland will put him back to playing in April or May.

Who will be the shooting guard for the Cavs if there’s no Garland? Max Strus could be a good option to put him as the two-guard. Donovan Mitchell will carry the load in terms of ball-handling duties.

It’s time for Cleveland to make some aggressive moves. The team hasn’t made the Conference Finals since 2018. Changes need to happen. Donovan Mitchell needs more help from a scoring standpoint. The NBA Draft is on the corner. We will be watching what the Cavs will do.
