Week 15 of the NFL season has come and gone. There were some surprises and a potential Super Bowl 55 preview.
Kansas City Chiefs 32 at New Orleans Saints 29 (Click here for highlights)
A possible Super Bowl 55 went down in the Bayou as the defending champion Chiefs went up against a team that they might see on February 7, 2021, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Drew Brees was coming from 11 cracked and a collapsed lung. But somehow Brees was able to fight through it and keep the Saints in the game. But Patrick Mahomes was on the other side which gives Kansas City an unfair advantage.
New York Jets 23 at Los Angeles Rams 20 (Click here for highlights)
The Jets will not be joining the 2008 Detroit Lions or the 2017 Cleveland Browns in the 0-16 club. They somehow someway defeated the Los Angeles Rams proving the saying “any given Sunday”. However, the Jets still managed to lose Sunday because the win by NYJ knocked them out of the first overall pick due to their strength of schedule. The Jacksonville Jaguars now hold the number one overall pick which will most likely be Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence.
Pittsburgh Steelers 17 at Cincinnati Bengals 27 (Click here for highlights)
Well, the saying any given Sunday can be applied to Mondays as well. That’s because the Steelers hadn’t lost to the Bengals since 2015 and yet somehow, they did on MNF. The Bengals were able to win without number one overall pick Joe Burrow, instead, they had to do it with Ryan Finley under center. Pittsburgh once again abandoned their running game because they were never ever able to establish it.
