On August 9th, The Cleveland Browns have officially signed linebacker Jordan Kunaszyk, waiving Browns rookie linebacker Silas Kelly due to an injury designation.

Kunaszyk began his college career as a zero-star recruit heading into American River College, being named first-team All-Big 8 Conference, a Junior College Freshman All-American, and the CCCAA NorCal Division Defensive Player of the Year in his sophomore year for the college.

He then received offers to Colorado, Iowa State, UNLV, Fresno State, and California for his junior year college consideration, eventually deciding to play for the California Bears in 2016.

After transferring over to the University of California, In his final season, Kunaszyk had 148 tackles, four sacks, five forced fumbles, and an interception – named first team All-Pac-12 Conference and second team All-America by Sports Illustrated for 2018.

After being undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, Jordan Kunaszyk signed for the Carolina Panthers, playing in 9 games and making seven tackles.

For the 2020 & 2021 NFL season, Kunaszyk was signed with the Washington Football Team, gaining seven tackles in 17 games before being released on May 16, 2022.

He’s now a member of the Cleveland Browns, he’s expecting to start practicing with the team on Thursday afternoon.
