A long-time starting guard for Cleveland, John Greco may learn his fate in the next couple of weeks. In 2013, Greco signed a five-year, $13.2 million contract. The deal contains $3 million guaranteed. Another $800,000 is available through Pro Bowl incentives. If Greco loses his starting job, the contract’s max value drops to $6 million. He missed the offseason recovering from Lisfranc surgery. He’s unlikely to be cleared for training camp and isn’t a lock to be ready for Week 1. ESPN Cleveland believes the “odds are stacked against” Greco making the final roster.
