Cleveland Browns By the Numbers – Offensive Line
The Cleveland Browns selected the twenty-one-year-old OT Roderick Johnson in the fifth-round during the 2017 draft. Johnson (6’7/299) turned pro after making 31 starts at left tackle in Tallahassee. He earned the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as both a sophomore and junior, awarded to the ACC’s top offensive lineman. He struggled in pass protection while excelling in the run game, but doesn’t have the body type of a dominant NFL run blocker. Johnson and the Browns agreed to a four-year, $2.66 million contract. The deal included a $266,972 signing bonus.
