Charles Clay
Although Charles Clay was given the transition tag by Miami, suitors like Buffalo are still prepared to make an offer. The Bills are prepping an offer sheet with terms that may make it difficult to for the Dolphins to match.
Correspondingly, Buffalo released Scott Chandler today. This may signify the team’s confidence to sign the tight end. Reports also state that Clay has been already in Buffalo shopping for a home.
Despite what seems to be a done deal, the Cleveland Browns may still be in the mix. They have always considered the athletic tight end as a top target in free agency. Clay has produced 1,364 yards and nine touchdowns over the last two years. The four year veteran finished as a top 15 tight end in receptions and yards this past season.
Regardless if Buffalo offers a deal, there is hope for Cleveland to offer a better deal. The Browns can’t let another free agent slip through their fingers.
Update: It has been reported that Charles Clay will be making a visit to Cleveland.
