The Cavaliers traded back into the first round and picked SG Kevin Porter Jr. out of USC at 30 (from the Bucks)! In his only season of college ball, he averaged 9.5 PPG, 4.0 REB and 1.4 AST on 47.1% shooting (41.2% three-point).
Porter Jr. brings with him a rough past as he lost his father at a young age. He also needs to grow up a bit and mature when making this jump to the NBA.
With that said, he brings a tremendous amount of talent and is a player that can score the basketball. Some compare him to a JR Smith-like scorer.
Porter Jr. definitely needs to work on his game to be an elite Cavalier, but he definitely has the talent to do it!
Welcome to Cleveland!
