Cavs Top Three Trade Targets

Cleveland Cavaliers GM David Griffin is resolute about improving his basketball team. Reports have confirmed that Griffin was engaged in negotiations with the Minnesota Timberwolves for SF Corey Brewer. Griffin contemplated a trade for Brewer but opted to retain his $5.3 Million dollar trade exception with aspirations of procuring a big man to fill a much needed void on the Cavs roster. Potentially, Brewer could have been had by the Cavs if they were willing to take on Ronny Turiaf’s contract and part with multiple second round draft picks. More notably though, the Cavs would have had to part with the trade exception which would have constricted the Cavs in-season moves to that one key acquisition. Griffin was not prepared to handcuff himself before further ventures at potential rim protectors.

The Cavs have reportedly been actively engaged in the pursuit of three potential trade targets but realistically will only be able to make one key move. The Cavs have three Potential Targets:
