The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed a former foe in forward and restrcited free agent, Patrick McCaw. Now in his third year, he averaged 4.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 57 games last year with the Warriors.
Two years, six-million is the deal.
He was out for two months with a bone bruise after a bad fall last season, hence only playing a limited amount.
McCaw is a good shooter that can see the court well, especially in transition. He shot 41% from the floor last year, down from 43% in his rookie campaign. Out of UNLV, look for his numbers to increase with more of a role in Cleveland. That’s likely why he declined two-years, 5.3 mil from Golden State.
With the Warriors in the NBA Finals last year against our Cavs, McCaw played a combined 11 minutes and scored two points in the entire series.
