Browns vs Lions: Season Is On The Line

The Cleveland Browns are at home as they take on the Detroit Lions. This is a make-it-or-break-it game for the Browns. The Browns sit at a (5-5) and are about to play the worst team in the NFL. Tying with Pittsburgh last week, the Lions are (0-8-1).

The Browns are still alive to make the postseason as the AFC North is wide open. If the Browns want to have any kind of playoff hopes, they must win this game. What better way to bounce back against a team like the Lions? The Browns are banged up with injuries but should be able to win this game. Lions QB Jared Goff has not been that great this year as the Lions have been struggling the entire season.

The good news for the Browns is that RB Nick Chubb has been activated off of the COVID list, meaning that he will be able to play against the Lions. The Browns need to keep their offensive plan of ‘run first’ and not abandon the run game like they did last week. The Lions defense is not very great when it comes to the run. This means that the Browns must use Nick Chubb and pound the ball for the majority of this game.

This is significant because Baker Mayfield is banged up. Look, the guy has been injured for most of this season and people still want to run him out of town? This quarterback works his tail off for us and continues to do that during an injury. If you want my opinion, he needs some rest from these injuries. If he does play, I would like to see him throw the ball a couple of times, but the majority of this game should be rushing.

Anyway, we will see what happens. Just win! Go Browns!
