Browns Roster Analysis – Running Back

Matthew Dayes

Dayes (5’8” 205) was drafted in the 7th round of the 2017 draft. Dayes has three years and about $2 million left on his non-guaranteed rookie deal. Dayes had some success returning kicks while Jabrill Peppers was out. Aside from that, Dayes had a total of nine touches all season. That shouldn’t surprise anyone given Hue Jackson’s aversion to running the ball. Dayes’ future will rest completely on the impression he has made on John Dorsey.
