James Burgess

Last year, James Burgess (6′ 230) was undrafted out of Louisville. He ended up signing with the Miami Dolphins, but spent most of 2016 bouncing around practice squads until he landed on the Browns. He appeared in 14 games this year and was forced into the starting role after Collins’ MCL injury (nine starts). He played pretty well for being inexperienced, finishing the year with 76 tackles and four sacks. I would expect him to be back on the team with those kinds of stats. Burgess is due $555K next year, so the price is right and he will be playing for a big payday.
