Kirksey (6’2″ 235) was drafted in the third round in 2014 and is one of the good picks from the Ray Farmer era. After being named the full-time starter in 2016, he led the team with 148 total tackles which was good enough for third in the league. The Iowa product signed a four-year extension this off-season that will keep him in Cleveland until he is eligible for free agency in 2022. The deal is worth $38 million, $20 million guaranteed and was totally worth it. He proved it by finishing fourth in the league with 138 tackles, 3.5 sacks and five passes defended. Kirksey will no doubt keep up that production until contract time.
