Browns release Campbell and Weeden
The Browns announced the cutting of two QBs this afternoon, those being Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell. Weeden gets the ax just two years after being drafted in the first round. Weeden was drafted at the age of 28 out of Oklahoma State and never seemed to be an NFL quarterback. His time in Cleveland was marked with terrible decisions, standing in the pocket way to long and throwing perhaps the worst interception ever (the underhand toss to DeAnrde Levy).
Campbell, a 32 year old journeyman, will move on to his fifth team leaving Brian Hoyer as the only QB on the roster.
One can only speculate as to what will happen with the QB position in the future but we can all rest well tonight knowing Weeden will not take another snap with the Browns.
