CB Terrance Mitchell
Speaking of the Mason Rudolph downgrade, Terrance Mitchell should also be in for a good day. CB Denzel Ward was also added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list this week and will not be active against the Steelers. This means Mitchell needs to step up against a backup quarterback. Mitchell played well in Ward’s absence due to injury, so this role is nothing new to Mitchell. The Steelers have talented receivers, but that might not matter if Mitchell plays well and Rudolph cannot get the ball to them. With CB Kevin Johnson also on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, Mitchell will be the leader of the secondary today. He will need to be that leader on and off the field against Pittsburgh. If the Browns secondary can force some turnovers early, they will force Rudolph to beat them, which does not sound like a recipe for success.
