Browns planning to introduce Odell Beckham Jr. on Monday

It has been well over two weeks since the Cleveland Browns acquired Pro-Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham Jr., who was overseas at the time of the trade, is expected to be formally introduced in Cleveland on Monday, per reports. There’s no confirmation from the team quite yet.

A conflict of interest exists for Cleveland sports fans as the Indians will be celebrating their home opener from Progressive Field on Monday at 4:10 p.m.

While it remains unclear what time Beckham Jr.’s press conference will take place, some fans are insinuating that the former LSU Tiger’s introduction interferes with the hype for the Indians and Opening Day.

For baseball fans in Cleveland, Opening Day is treated like a holiday. Some feel as if a flashy football star with flamboyant outfits, hair and dance moves is infringing on their beloved day.

Some fans are hoping that Beckham Jr. might throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Progressive Field on Opening Day. That’s unlikely as Wayne Kirby, former MLB right fielder, will throw Monday’s home-opening baseball.

No matter what time Beckham Jr. is introduced, it will certainly be an entertaining Monday in Cleveland.
