Browns Agree To Terms With Veteran WR, Bennett

Reported via Twitter his nephew, the Cleveland Browns have agreed to a contract with veteran Wide Receiver, Earl Bennett. Bennett (27) is 6-foot; 206lb has spent his entire career with the Chicago Bears. A 3rd round pick in 2008 out of Vanderbilt, Bennett has proven to be consistent receiving option in the NFL. Over his 6 year career, Bennett has caught 185 passes for 2,277 yards and 12 TD’s. This past season he had 32 receptions for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns. Bennett was released this March when he refused to take a pay cut. Bennett primarily worked out of the slot last season with Chicago. He now enters a situation in Cleveland where he can provide quality leadership and can potentially contribute right away while the status of Josh Gordon remains unknown.
