(#67) The Pick: DE Chad Thomas
Projected to go between the fourth and fifth round, Thomas was selected too high. He has the potential to become a much better pro than college player, but his floor is very low.
Thomas had his breakout year as a junior when he started 12 games, made 37 tackles, 11 of which went for losses. He also had 4.5 sacks and broke up three passes. In his final year as a Miami Hurricane, he started all 13 games in 2017, recording 41 tackles, 12.5 for loss and 5.5 sacks.
One AFC team East Coast scout said he will either be a very good NFL player or a flat out bust.
