Browns 1st and Goal Report: Run, Run and Run The Ball More

Round two between the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens will take place, this time down at First Energy Stadium Sunday afternoon. I’d like to consider this a heavyweight battle between Rocky Balboa (the Browns) and Apollo Creed (the Ravens), but I’m not sure we can call it that when the Ravens hold a dominating 34-11 series record against the good guys. Add in the fact, that this Browns team hasn’t smelled victory over the Ravens in two years and the opportunity the team has on Sunday will be vital and more pressing.

Cleveland has to get this win to stay within playoff contention. They stand at 6-6 and have an uphill battle. The Browns play the Las Vegas Raiders, the Green Bay Packers, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals to close out the season. They might be able to afford one more loss to reach a playoff berth but that’s stretch. It helps that the Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals have lost their last games and that Cleveland will get to duke it out with these teams over the next month. Will Rocky rise off the mat and takedown Creed? It’ll start with this big game Sunday.

Let’s get set inside the 10-yard line and go Browns 1st and goal this week and discuss a few more areas that this team needs to conquer to get the win.
