No one will ever accuse Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield of shying away from a challenge. Mayfield over his college and NFL career has always played through adversity. He has always played with that chip on his shoulder. It suits him well and annoys others who seem to want to negate all the positive things he’s done on and off the field.

Now, Mayfield, who has had a serious shoulder injury for weeks and now a foot and knee injuries sustained in the last two weeks, will give it a go against the Detroit Lions down at First Energy Stadium on Sunday. The Browns are standing at 5-5 on the season after that embarrassing loss at the New England Patriots last weekend.

With the latest list of injuries added to Mayfield’s wrecked body, there are rumblings as to if the franchise quarterback would be better off resting a week before the Browns go on the road and play divisional rival Baltimore Ravens. The Browns have had a rash of injuries and other public relations issues that are making matters worse as well. Let’s discuss a bit more about Mayfield and other hot topics as the Browns look to tame the Lions.
