It seems like everyone wants to come home to Cleveland. Why?

Well, we’ve got the frigid, below-zero temperatures, the constant snow, poor road conditions, no night life and really no fun at all. Now that’s a really harsh assessment of the city of Cleveland, but we nod and smile as we realize that for some odd reason we love it here.

Former Ohio State Buckeye and Canton native Brian Hartline is currently visiting with the Cleveland Browns. The 28 year old receiver spent his first five years in the league with the Miami Dolphins. He was drafted in the 4th round back in 2009.

Last season, Hartline had 39 receptions for 474 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was a down year from his previous two in which he surpassed the 1,000 yard mark twice. Most cite that this past year he was phased out of the new Dolphins spread offense which caused a drastic dip in his numbers.

At the beginning of the 2013 season, as a member of the Dolphins, Hartline caught 9 balls for 114 yards and a touchdown against our very own Cleveland Browns in a 23-10 win.

Hartline is a solid possession receiver that can get the Browns a first down when needed. He’s not going to wow anyone with explosive plays, but he gets the job done. He’s quick too, able to bolt open for receptions.

At this point, the Browns are in need of weapons. Anyone that can help McCown, Manziel or ____ get this team in the right direction is needed. Signing Hartline would be a start.

The Browns, should definitely welcome him home!
