Absolutely devasting news from the NBA world today as Richard Jefferson has ended his friendship with LeBron James. I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I’m heartbroken over this. RJ and LeBron were the best of buddies during Jefferson’s time in Cleveland so to see this once great friendship come to an end is truly very sad.
Jefferson claims that he choose to end the friendship mainly to avoid questions about LeBron’s upcoming free agency decision. Now I will say as someone completely obsessing over every move and Instagram post LeBron makes over this next week or so I could imagine that it would get annoying to be asked about over and over again. Jefferson also claims that LeBron “works too hard and makes the rest of us look bad” and that LeBron is his son’s favorite player and that was a “complete betrayal of how hard he’s worked to put a roof over his head.” clearly LeBron being too good has caused a few too many problems in the Jefferson household and he needed to get LeBron out of his life.
Overall just a very sad day in the NBA world as two best buddies have to move on for the better of themselves. I will say though Jefferson posting this friendship breakup the exact same way that Drake posted his response to Pusha T after Pusha ended his damn life was laugh out loud funny.
Don’t cry because it’s over smile because it happened.
P.S. I’m going to stay super woke here and assume that Jefferson is just doing this so LeBron won’t go to LA. As Jefferson said in his note he lives in LA and was sick of LeBron questions. Now I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to live in the same city as a guy who publicly renounced his friendship with me. So let’s just all go ahead and take LA off the potential list of LeBron suitors. Thanks, RJ – Cav for life.
