The Cleveland Browns have signed free agent running back Kareem Hunt.

Hunt signs a one-year deal with Cleveland just over the league minimum. After this season, Hunt will be a RFA and the Browns will have the rights to sign him first.

Hunt is entering his third year in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs released Hunt in December after a video surfaced that showed him abusing a woman in Cleveland.

Hunt did not face charges for the incident and he was not arrested. He is under investigation with the NFL and will not be eligible to play until the investigation has concluded.

Browns GM John Dorsey made statement regarding the Hunt signing:

For now, Browns fans await the decision from Roger Goodell and the NFL.
