If you told a Cleveland Browns fan that he/she would hear quarterback news…

Well, I don’t think that person would think it was about signing another quarterback. It would either be about news on DeShaun Watson and if he is getting a suspension and if so what amount or Baker Mayfield finally either getting traded/cut.

However, the Browns decided to sign another quarterback. Adding a fourth to the roster. Felix Harper had a tryout at the Browns’ minicamp and the team decided to sign him to the roster. He is 5-10, 180 pounds out of Alcorn State and an undrafted free agent. He led the Alcorn football team to a 6-2 SWAC record in 2021, completing 191 passes for 2,489 yards and 20 passing touchdowns (Via Browns).

Harper will be behind DeShaun Watson, Baker Mayfield and Jacoby Brissett. Usually, an NFL team has three quarterbacks on the roster. This addition of a fourth could signal that the Browns are prepared to make some type of move in regards to Baker Mayfield. It has been quite a roller coaster ride in regards to the former number one overall pick.

Congratulations on getting signing and welcome to Cleveland! With all due respect to Mr. Harper. Let’s hope he never plays a down of football as the starting quarterback. At least, not as a member of Browns.
