Donovan Mitchell did everything. He did EVERYTHING for the Cavs. It wasn’t enough to get the job done. This is a typical Cleveland problem from an offense standpoint. Mitchell had a game-high 50 points. He scored more points in a closeout game than any other Cleveland legend. Orlando rallied in the fourth quarter to win Game Six. They have pushed the series to Game Seven. This is the only Game Seven in this year’s first round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Orlando Magic have been a very pesky opponent to the Cavs. No one expected this young and inexperienced Magic team to play this well in the first round. Orlando becomes a big threat to Cleveland in the second half. That’s been the case throughout the series beginning in Game Three. Every game in this series, the home team has won. Cleveland is going back home for Game Seven. All the pressure is on the Cavs to win this game. If they don’t win a game Seven, there are going to be some changes with this current roster. This team is too talented to not get out of the first round, especially when Donovan Mitchell is your main guy.

Evan Mobley had a disappointing performance in Game Six. He needs to step up and it’s not looking good so far. I’m not going to give Darius Garland any pass either. Mitchell can’t continue to carry so much load in the postseason. The Cavs need scoring from Garland and Mobley. Yes, Garland had a solid first half in Game Six, but nowhere to be found in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter.

Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic are growing up fast in the postseason. Banchero scored 10 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter. The 21-year-old is on a mission and the Cavs don’t seem to have an answer for him. Jalen Suggs kept torturing the Cavs by draining threes. Franz Wagner had a strong performance with 26 points. Orlando played Orlando Magic basketball and they made the Cavs play their game. The Cavs shot poorly from downtown going 7-for-28.

Game Seven is on Sunday in Cleveland at one p.m. The Cavs haven’t won a playoff series since 2018.
