Even though Phil Dawson is no longer on the Browns, he still deserves recognition for what he did last night. With the Cardinals tied with the Jaguars 24-24, Phil smashed a 57 yard field goal through the uprights with one second left to win the game. A kick of that distance is already impressive for anyone, but even more so when the kicker is 42 years old. This was his longest field goal make in his entire career.
Phil Dawson's 57 yard FG wins it for the Cardinals! Longest kick of his 19 year career.

The fact Phil is still out there crushing kicks is extremely frustrating as a fan. The Browns haven’t been able to find a reliable kicker since they let him go in free agency. Their newest replacement, Zane Gonzalez, has certainly struggled in his rookie season. I don’t know if having an accurate kicker could single handedly bring the Browns a win this year. Though, it certainly would help the confidence of their struggling offense if they had someone as clutch as Dawson. Plus, he still has love for the city.
I still love CLE https://t.co/Qf7wHkbwRz

He doesn’t tweet much, so for him to go out of his way to shout out Cleveland shows how much respect he has for the city. We still love you too Phil!
