On the verge of the NBA season, Cavs fans look at the showdown with Kyrie and the Boston Celtics and get reminded of a roller coaster offseason.  We’ve seen a new GM, the Kyrie Irving trade, the trade that fell through for Paul George, and of course the signing of Dwyane Wade.

However, what no one talks about is the masterful work Cavs new GM Koby Altman did in taking a team that looked destined for the dumps and bringing them back up to glory. He made the best out of a bad situation and has put the Cavs in the best position possible to win.

Yes he traded Kyrie, but the assets we acquired this offseason were tremendous. Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizek, a 1st round lottery pick, oh and Dwyane Wade.

Instead of scolding this front office let’s appreciate how hard they worked to make the best out a situation that could have gone so sour. In recognition of a job well done, we present Koby Altman with this Larry Award!
