Ohio State Football has always had a juggernaut of a program and has done an excellent job recruiting. Every year it seems this team can make a run to the College Football Playoffs. This team is coming off a 12- win campaign as they ended the year on a high note defeating Utah in a thrilling 48-45 win in the Rose bowl.

The program has lost key players to the NFL Draft. Garrett Wilson was drafted 10th overall by the New York Jets, and Chris Olave was drafted 11th overall by the New Orleans Saints. Nicholas Petit- Frere drafted 69th overall by the Tennessee Titans, Jeremy Ruckert was drafted 101st overall by the New York Jets and Tyreke Smith was drafted 158th overall by the Seattle Seahawks. Powerhouse teams have plenty of depth so this should not greatly affect this year’s team.

Ohio State landed a huge commit earlier this week. Ryan Day is feeling jubilant over the news that he landed a five-star recruit in quarterback Dylan Raiola.

Raiola is six foot three inches and weighs 220 pounds and is the son of former Detriot Lions offensive lineman Dominic Raiola. Raiola resides in Chandler, Arizona, and is a 2024 graduate.

Dylan received a plethora of offers from major programs such as Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Notre Dame, USC, and Oregon. Raiola also received an offer from Nebraska where his father attended college.

This is a huge win right now for Ohio State, as there is early speculation surrounding C.J. Stroud, who is regarded to be the top quarterback prospect in the 2023 NFL draft. Ohio State will need someone to take the reins and continue to ride the ship for this program. Ohio State will have a tough road matchup to start the season as they will face Notre Dame. It is hard to control the level of excitement for both of these teams as this should be a fun start to the season.
