FIVE SEC prospects Cavs should be zoning in on for NBA draft

Ricky Council IV, G/F Arkansas
The junior from Arkansas has had an excellent season for the Razorbacks. He’s a good offensive and defensive player and standing at 66 he can help the Cavs out a lot. When you watch him on tape, you’ll see a guy that does a lot of different things and can create shots and opportunities for his teammates.
Cleveland has a number of creative players and good defenders already and a player like Counsel would fit very well on the squad. The North Carolina native played his first two years of collegiate ball at Wichita State. He had a decent sophomore season thereby scoring 12 points a game but now he’s upped his point totals to close to 17 points a game. He’s already had a 30-point game and eight games of scoring 20 or more points.
His three-point shooting, however, is a work in progress as he’s only shooting 27%. He’ll need to improve on that if he wants to be considered a legit NBA player.
