Trevor Bauer will start the season in the tribe rotation as the 24 year old is out of options and entering a crucial year in determining his career trajectory. He had an inconsistent 2014 season but showed growth as he went deep into some key starts late in the season. He has always been eccentric in his preparation and should be willing to adjust his ways if necessary considering his 1st inning ERA of 5.54 last season. The Indians are expecting a lot from Bauer as they have expressed a deep belief in his work ethic and devotion to getting better.

2014 Stats: 5-8, 4.18 ERA

The 31 year old right hander has made just 14 starts over the last two years, so there is going to be skepticism surrounding the signing of the veteran starter. Regardless, one of those seasons was missed due to Tommy John Surgery and last year it was an elbow fracture. The Indians have performed extensive physicals on Floyd and feel that he is healthy and will be a productive key piece of their rotation. The Indians are hoping that a healthy Floyd will be just what they needed to round out their starting rotation. However, just like any other player signed on the cheap, its a gamble.

2014 Stats: 2-2, 2.65 ERA

2015 Projections: 7-11, 4.35 ERA

The 5th spot in the Indians rotation is up for grabs this spring. It will likely come done to Danny Salazar and T.J. House. House was impressive last season and it would be nice to give the ball to a southpaw every 5 days but it will be Salazar in the rotation to start the year. After some early struggles last season, he finished strong in his last 12 starts posting a 3.50 ERA. Salazar has the stuff to be dominating when he can compliment his fast ball with off speed pitches in the zone. He has the ability to make batters swing and miss at a high frequency and the Indians will hope he can get off to better start this year.

2014 Stats: 6-8 4.25 ERA

2015 Projections: 10-11, 3.94 ERA
